What to do in Dallas, Texas?

Hey Dallasians. I just moved to Dallas only a couple of months ago. I am currently attending Art Institute of Dallas. Since I moved here I have not been able to go around Dallas. What is there to do in Dallas that is fun and doesn't cost too much money?

I like bowling and of course arts, after all I am an art student. Where are the clubs located at? Where are the Artsy stuff can be found at? Any good restaurants? How about movie theatre that shows independent films? I live around Coit and Forest lane exits.

Thank you for answering beforehand.

The Dallas Museum of Art is really nice.

There are many good restaurants and bars in Addison. If you are near Coit and Forest, go down to Lovers Lane or Greeneville Ave.

Also, the center section of the Friday or Sunday papers.
There are a couple places to go see independent films. There's an Angelika at 75 and Mockbird - and is surrounded by several restaurants, shops and bars. There's also The Magnolia over on McKinney in the West Village. The Magnolia is also really close to a lot of great restaurants and bars.

Hope that helps!
